Brings CardDAV to Android since 2011.

CardDAV-Sync is a CardDAV client for Android to synchronize contacts. Due to its implementation as sync adapter it integrates seamlessly with the default contacts app.(Also check out CalDAV-Sync)Important note for Android 4.1 and Samsung users: To prevent the removal of your accounts on reboot install this app:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.dmfs.jb.workaround.carddavsyncAt present, Samsung users still need this workaround, even on recent devices. Also note that many Android 4.x and 5.0 devices need the workaround to prevent removal of accounts during an app update.HTC One users please check out this site first: http://dmfs.org/wiki/index.php?title=HTC_Sense_issueGet support and news via Twitter https://twitter.com/dmfs_orgIf you find a bug send me an email please. Without detailed error description I often cant do anything especially when I cant reproduce it. Its also possible that your server has a bug that CardDAV-Sync can not (yet) tolerate or work around. If you report bugs I can fix them quickly and everyone will benefit. This is the paid version of CardDAV-Sync. It equals the free version except that it syncs more fields. Visit my website for details. Please uninstall the free version before you install the paid one (and vice versa). For users which are unable to edit or create synced contacts I published an editor at the market. Just search for "Contact Editor" or see our website.Once this app reaches version 1.0, Ill make it open source.See http://dmfs.org/wiki/index.php?title=Open_source_status for details on the open source status.Features:* Sync contacts from a CardDAV-server (tested and reported to work with DAViCal, SOGo, egroupware, Zimbra, david.fx, Fruux, ownCloud ... and more. See our website for details)* supports multiple address books per account* basic support for self-signed certificates* auto-provisioning* two-way-sync* syncs names, phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, photos, birthdays (but please visit "date formats" on my website first), notes, instant messengers, organizations, nicknames, categories (groups), phonetic names, related names and websites* automatic address book discovery (works with most servers in default configuration)* one-way-sync of Apple-style groups* Support for Apple-style custom labels (X-ABLABEL)* stores passwords encrypted* supports efficient sync-collection request* supports client certificate authentication* import wizard for contacts from other accountsFix authentication issues

This app used to be great but it's been abandoned now and stopped syncing for me after the latest update so I'd recommend moving to DAVX5.

App is garbage, stopped working and no longer updated. Save your money. There is a better alternative that works and is updated.

Does not work anymore, with recent android smartphones. Was good in the past, but absolute garbage right now. Now I have moved to OpenSync Address Book which is free of charge and works perfectly with Baikal Server.

Used ho be a great carddav syncing app but it's been abandoned. --- I had a problem with syncing for a while. Turned out the problem was in the system settings. For some of you who encounter the same problem, try to check these settings: 1. Battery saver (give no restrictions to carddav/caldav-sync) 2. Permissions to auto start (make sure the app is allowed to start automatically) 3. Permissions to start in the background (self explanatory) Now I can sync seamlessy with Fastmail, iCloud & Gmail

App has been abandoned

Da Niel

This is now clearly abandonware. The developer, Marten Gajda, hasn't updated the app since 2017, and even his own website hasn't been touched since 2016. The last post on his Twitter account is from 2011. I was starting to suspect he might actually have died, until I discovered that he's actually been actively making commits this month (February 2021) to OpenTasks on GitHub. If you need a currently supported CardDAV and CalDAV provider, I suggest you use DAVx5, a paid version of which is available here on Play, or exactly the same version without restrictions is also available on F-Droid for free (legally). It's a shame that Gajda doesn't have the courtesy to simply make a statement either here and/or on his website that he's abandoned the project, and maybe even explain why, especially as we're paying customers. That's what you get for wasting your money on proprietary software, I guess.

Made for an older Android version.

SABOTAGE!

My home rolled certificate (which worked with this app before and still works with everything else) stopped working a few months ago. I hope the developer who has been so helpful in the past will be on top of this and get the app updated quickly to work again. Unfortunately I am beginning to suspect that development and support has ceased :-(

I've been using this for years. This year, 2020, it just stopped working. My Contacts is empty.
